We wake up, to alarm clocks shaped like hands
We sleep in, through most of the early day
We get our daily chores, pay our daily dues
Take as long or as little time, need it you may
Then sleep resumes, this time immortal
You loose your mind, and most memories of
Times that have moved you, the heart saves a few
Generously, leaves you the ones that are of love
At the end of the day, sunsets are the killers
Sunrises offer hope, creation, beauty, light
Yet, it doesn’t come close, to dying with the sun
With Love clutching your heart, close and tight
As it once kissed you hello, and again goodbye
It kisses you again, without saying a thing
Even as the world, disassembles to old, blind eyes
Love finds the perfect lullaby, and for you it will sing
